Relying on hardware-specific systems from Cisco and Juniper, the company faced challenges in scalability, flexibility, and cost-effectiveness. Traffic Capacity: Addressed East-West traffic at 10G and North-South traffic at 500MB.
BGP Architecture: The scale includes 5 external peers and 10-15 internal peers. iBGP and eBGP were strategically used to manipulate traffic and ensure high availability without the use of Virtual Routing and Forwarding (VRF).
Features: Utilized Virtual Tunnel Interface (VTI) for secure VPNs and integration with existing VMware environments.
